1. Who we are

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") apply to all quotations, orders and services provided by Trident 3D Additive Manufacturing ("Trident 3D", "we", "us"), an Irish-owned additive manufacturing business based in Co. Wexford, Ireland. Contact: sales@trident3d.ie.

Trident 3D is a limited company registered in Ireland (company registration no. 5655169). Registered office: Rathduff, Rathnure, Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford, Y21A338, Ireland.

2. Quotations

Quotations are based on the files, drawings and information you provide and are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise. A quotation is an invitation to order, not an offer; we may revise or withdraw it if the supplied information is incomplete, inaccurate, or changes before an order is placed. Trident 3D is not currently registered for VAT, so no VAT is charged. Prices exclude delivery unless expressly stated.

3. Orders and acceptance

A contract is formed only when we confirm your order in writing (including by email). By placing an order you accept these Terms. Any terms you put forward that conflict with these Terms do not apply unless we agree to them in writing.

4. Prices and payment

Prices are as set out in the accepted quotation, and are not subject to VAT while Trident 3D remains unregistered for VAT. Payment terms are [to be confirmed — e.g. payment in full before dispatch for new customers; 30 days from invoice for approved account customers]. We may suspend or withhold delivery where payment is overdue. Late payments may incur interest and costs in line with the Late Payment in Commercial Transactions regulations.

5. Your files, designs and intellectual property

You retain all intellectual property in the designs, models and files you supply. By supplying them you confirm that you own them or are authorised to have them manufactured, and that manufacturing them will not infringe any third party's rights. You agree to indemnify us against any claim arising from a breach of that confirmation. We claim no ownership of your designs. We may retain validated print profiles and job records to enable reorders and for our own records, unless you ask us in writing not to.

6. Confidentiality

We treat your files and project information as confidential, use them only to prepare quotations and fulfil your order, and do not share them with third parties except sub-processors necessary to provide the service. We will sign a non-disclosure agreement on request before you send anything. We will not show your work as an example without your written permission.

7. Materials, tolerances and finish

Our work is produced by fused deposition modelling (FDM). Published tolerances, layer heights, material properties and finishes are typical values and are not guaranteed for every geometry; achievable tolerance is confirmed per part at quote stage. FDM parts have visible layer lines, some internal porosity and minor colour and surface variation between batches. Unless expressly agreed in writing, parts are not supplied as certified, sterilisable, food-contact or medical-grade items, and are not for safety-critical end use.

8. Fitness for purpose

You are responsible for specifying a material and design suitable for your application and operating environment. We will advise to the best of our knowledge, but unless we have expressly agreed in writing to design or validate a part for a specific certified use, selection of material and suitability for purpose remains your responsibility.

9. Lead times and delivery

Lead times are estimates and run from design sign-off, not from enquiry. Time is not of the essence unless agreed in writing. We are not liable for delays caused by incomplete information, changes, payment delays, or events outside our reasonable control. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery or collection; title passes once payment has been received in full.

10. Inspection, defects and returns

Please inspect goods on receipt and notify us of any defect or shortage within 7 days. Where goods are found to be defective or not to the agreed specification, our liability is limited, at our option, to remaking or refunding the affected items. Because parts are made bespoke to your order, they are not returnable for change of mind.

11. Cancellations and changes

Once manufacturing has started, an order may be cancelled or changed only by agreement, and you may be charged for work done, materials used and machine time committed up to that point.

12. Warranty and liability

We provide our services with reasonable skill and care. To the fullest extent permitted by law: we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of use, or losses arising from your design or choice of material; and our total liability for any order is limited to the price paid for that order. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

13. Force majeure

We are not liable for failure or delay in performance caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including equipment failure, supply shortages, utility outages, or actions of third parties.

14. Governing law

These Terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of Ireland and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
